Dr. Shana Shumaker

Dr. Shana Shumaker is a licensed psychologist at McGuire Psychological Services. She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2024. She completed her APA-accredited internship at New York City Children’s Center, a state-run inpatient psychiatric unit and day treatment program. Dr. Shumaker recently completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Boys Town Nevada, where she provided evidence-based care with children, adolescents and their families.

She has wide breadth of experience working with children and adolescents with a diverse range of psychological presentations. She completed clinical externships at the Brooklyn College Counseling Center, Bergenfield Middle School, the Mount Sinai Seaver Autism Center, Mount Sinai Child and Adolescent Family Services and New York-Presbyterian’s child and adolescent units. Dr. Shumaker is passionate about providing evidence-based care tailored to each patient’s unique presentation and has a special interest in treating adolescent mood and anxiety disorders.
